They (Eddie Bauer) should make a more durable pad! And replacement pads are ridiculously hard to find — this is the only seller I found on the internet, other than one on eBay which basically sold for the same price.

I had to spend $43 to replace the one on our high chair because the seam on the back wore out. It is supposed to be washable, but it hasn’t held up well in the wash. But it’s a lot cheaper to buy a new pad than a new chair. Oi vey! I’m grateful that this seller has them in stock, at least. Target or Babies R Us should stock replacements! (more…)

Fabric Seat Back Cushion Set

I just received the set that goes on the back of the chair by Keekaroo. It is a nice gray color, attaches easily and seems to be well made. It seems comfortable enough, though my son is only 5 and he will likely need a thicker pad as he gets bigger.

The price for this individual item seems really crazy, as it is only a bit of cotton batting inside of some sort of twill fabric with some velcro. I bought it only for convenience’s sake, as the price for this and the chair together was under $200. If I need a replacement I think I will make my own in the future, rather than pay so much for such a small pad.

Also, the manufacturer could offer some color choices, as gray is a bit bland for young children to use (though it will stand up to dirt just fine). My son says that red would have been nice! (more…)
